STREAM!

HTCA is taking advantage of a unique opportunity. We are working with the Superintendent's office to become the first STREAM school in the Diocese starting in the fall. The video in this article has more info from parents and teachers.

We heard your request for more science and foreign language and our transition to STREAM is a perfect way to do that. Of course, you probably have some questions:

What is STREAM?

STREAM education is a unique approach to learning focused on Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics. It is designed to inspire student inquiry, discussion, and critical thinking.

What does this mean for my child?

The school’s focus on STREAM will encourage students to engage in hands-on learning, persistent problem-solving, embrace collaboration, and work through the creative process while staying true to Catholic values. While we will still be utilizing traditional classroom methods, the students will be exposed to more group work and critical thinking projects.

How is the school executing this?

Staffing: We are actively recruiting a technology specialist as well as a world language teacher.

Equipment and teaching tools: We already have an extensive collection of technology and equipment - more than most schools in the Diocese. We will be utilizing it more and in a more cohesive manner.

We are so excited for your children. This is a tremendous learning opportunity for our students.
