What is STREAM?

STREAM is a holistic approach to education that focuses on real world problem solving in addition to traditional education. STREAM stands for Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.

STREAM-based Learning Strategies

At Holy Trinity Catholic Academy we believe in a safe Catholic-based personalized learning environment as such we have decided to adopt a STREAM style teaching model. This means that each quarter students will be tackling a learning project where they are given a problem that needs solving and pulls from all the aspects of STREAM which will culminate in a STREAM exhibition so friends and family can see our students progress.

In the ever changing fast paced world we live in, we believe that taking this approach to education will better prepare our students for the real world as it is now versus what it was in the past. Our students will be given complex real world scenarios across all our grade levels starting with our youngest in Preschool up through Eighth-Grade. These scenarios will have a solid foundation in our Catholic identity merged with STREAM. This style of education will help our students develop their critical thinking skills, public speaking skills, team work through cooperative learning and make learning more engaging.
